SCIENCE AND RESEARCH

The group places a high priority on initiating its own research and development projects as well as participating in collective research projects in order to build up its knowledge and competency base.

Group members are successfully carrying out a number of national and international projects in nanotechnology, nanomedicine, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine and cell therapy.

One such project is ThymiStem, which is being carried out by Nanopharma and an international team of scientists. The goal is to achieve regeneration in the human thymus and thereby strengthen the immune system in immunocompromised patients.

Nanopharma’s role consists of developing sophisticated 3D scaffolds for creating a functional thymic organoid.
